Former India captain and legendary cricketer-turned-commentator Sunil Gavaskar was all pumped up after India won the game against Pakistan in what was the campaign opener for both teams at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022. It was a thrilling contest between the two sides, just like always, as Virat Kohli and Hardik Pandya contributed brilliantly towards India’s win.

The video has garnered more than 60000 likes, more than 6500 retweets, and over a million views in the past 12 hours. And Gavaskar’s emotions were very much relatable, as every Indian cricket fan went through the same feelings when India won.

Speaking of the high-pressure clash between the arch-rivals, Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya set the tone straight for India by picking up three wickets each. But Pakistan managed to post a 160-run target. India’s start was terrible as four wickets fell in the first seven overs.

It was then the partnership between Pandya and Virat Kohli that resurrected India’s innings, with the latter doing a major chunk of the scoring. Amid all the last-over drama, Kohli’s 53-ball 82* stood out as he managed to remain calm under pressure and won the game for India.
