Former cricketer Mohammad Kaif has dropped an epic reaction to team India's emphatic win over New Zealand in the 2nd ODI on January 21, 2023 in Raipur. This win helped India clinch the 3-match ODI series and take an unassailable 2-0 lead.
This is also India's second consecutive ODI series win at the start of 2023, having defeated Sri Lanka early before the Black Caps toured India.
Was all fast-forward: Mohammad Kaif's epic tweet on India's win

Saw your timeline, and the way you praised, Shami, Siraj, Hardik & Shubman for today's match is commendable. 👏👏

Fans lauded Kaif's way of appreciating team India's victory. No doubt whatever Kaif had written was exactly what had happened during the course of the match, right from the toss. The toss was a hilarious scene where for a few seconds Indian skipper Rohit Sharma had 'forgotten' what he wanted to do after the coin had flipped in his favour. But, India's performance throughout the match was such that it looked more of a T20 match rather than an ODI.
In Raipur, New Zealand were no match for the hosts, with every Indian bowler featuring in the wickets column to see off the visitors for just 108 runs where Mohammed Shami shined with three wickets.
Rohit Sharma led from the front in India’s reply, registering a half-century, while Shubman Gill, who is a probable contender for a place in the ODI World Cup later this year in India, also proved why he should be considered, with an unbeaten 40 in a rather low-scoring game.
Mohammed Shami returned with impressive figures in the second ODI against the Black Caps, finishing with figures of 3/18. It was only in December that Shami was ruled out of the ODI series against Bangladesh, but the pacer seems to have found his rhythm back, something that is important in the absence of Jasprit Bumrah.
Shami led India’s bowling attack against the Kiwis by example, and he made a very quick impact after the visitors were put to bat first, cleaning up Finn Allen in the fifth ball of the first over. Now, the hosts will look to whitewash the Kiwis in the third and final ODI at the Holkar Stadium, Indore on Tuesday.
