'This victory is as much yours as it’s mine' - Virat Kohli posts heartwarming message for Anushka Sharma

Virat Kohli shared a heartfelt message for his wife, Anushka Sharma, expressing gratitude for keeping him grounded at all times. The talismanic batter has seen a lot of ups and downs in his illustrious career but the one thing that has been a constant is the support of his wife.
Kohli didn't have a great T20 World Cup campaign with the willow heading into the finals against South Africa on June 29. However, against South Africa, at the Kensington Oval in Barbados, the former India captain played a gritty knock of 76 off 59 balls, hitting six fours and two sixes. After India won the nerve-wracking match by seven runs, the legendary cricketer was awarded Player of the Match.

In a touching Instagram post, the 35-year-old batter expressed his gratitude and love for Anushka after India’s T20 World Cup victory in the Caribbean.
“None of this would remotely be possible without you my love. You keep me humble, grounded and you always say it how it is with absolute honesty. I couldn’t be more grateful for you. This victory is as much yours as it’s mine. Thank you and I love you for being YOU @anushkasharma,” Kohli wrote on Instagram with photo of the couple.
Earlier, Anushka expressed her elation following India's monumental victory, as she took to Instagram to reveal how her daughter Vamika was concerned if all the Indian players who were crying after the win have someone to hug.

“Our daughter’s biggest concern was if all the players had someone to hug them after she saw them cry on tv….. Yes, My darling, they were hugged by 1.5 billion people. What a phenomenal victory and what a legendary achievement!! CHAMPIONS – CONGRATULATIONS!! ” Anushka wrote.
Anushka also put out another post which was solely dedicated to her beloved husband. She asked him to have a glass of water to celebrate the win.
“AND ….. I love this man @virat.kohli . So grateful to call you my home – now go have a glass of sparkling water for me to celebrate this!” she wrote.
While receiving the Player of the Match award, Kohli announced his retirement from T20I cricket with immediate effect. He finished as the second-highest run-getter in the format behind Rohit Sharma, who also followed him into T20I retirement. Kohli amassed 4,188 runs from 125 T20Is at an average of 48.69 and a strike rate of 137.04.
