'Tribute to expensive vegetables' - Pakistan's leaked jersey for T20 World Cup 2022 gets trolled on Twitter

The T20 World Cup 2022 is few weeks away from getting underway and the teams have started announcing their new kit for the mega ICC event. Recently, India launched its official jersey for the T20 World Cup 2022 with captain Rohit Sharma taking centre stage and the Indian players were also spotted posting images on social media with their new jerseys. Pakistan were all set to launch their official jersey until it was leaked on social media.  

The Pakistan Cricket Board had posted a tweet on Twitter about their new kit launch with the focus on ‘Thunder’ theme and there is a possibility of the ‘leaked new jersey’ being the official one for the T20 World Cup 2022. Although there’s hasn’t been an official word on it, Pakistan's ‘leaked jersey’ had skipper Babar Azam, vice-captain Shadab Khan and promising youngster Naseem Shah wearing the new kit. 

The design of the new kit raised a lot of trolls in social media from the cricket fans especially for the light green lines mixed with dark green, and the different shades of green denoted the theme of Thunder. The fans saw the funnier side of the ‘jersey’ and compared it to watermelon for the way it looked in the picture.

Pakistan had recently named their T20 World Cup squad in Australia and it did include a few surprises. The former cricketers and experts weren’t quite impressed with the squad selection and expressed their concern over the lack of experience in middle order.
