Australia and West Indies clashed in the third ODI of the ongoing three-match series at the Manuka Oval in Canberra. Australia captain Steven Smith won the toss and elected to bowl first.
West Indies continued their poor run with the bat in this series. Opener Kjorn Ottley was adjudged LBW, though he had nicked the ball. However, he didn't feel the nick on his pad and chose not to review the decision, resulting in West Indies losing their first wicket.
In-form batter Keacy Carty showed promise and formed a small partnership with the other opener Alick Athanaze, but his innings was cut short by a stunning catch from Marnus Labuschagne at the point region. Captain Shai Hope's struggle continued as he was dismissed playing a poor shot off Sean Abbott.
The West Indies batting lineup crumbled in the face of the formidable Australia fast bowling attack, characterised by pace, bounce, and swing, masterfully led by Xavier Bartlett, who once again showcased his prowess with a four-wicket haul. Adding to the West Indies' woes, Lance Morris and Adam Zampa contributed with two wickets each, while Abbott claimed one more victim. The culmination of this bowling prowess saw West Indies bundled out for a meager total of just 86 runs on the board.
Chasing the target, Australian openers Jake Fraser-McGurk and Josh Inglis made a mockery of the chase, reaching the target in just 6.5 overs and winning the game for the team by eight wickets. Fraser-McGurk scored 41 off 18 with five fours and three huge sixes, while Inglis remained not out, scoring 35 off 16 with four fours and one six. Alzarri Joseph and Oshane Thomas secured one wicket each for the West Indies. Xavier Bartlett was named Man of the Match and Man of the Series for his brilliant bowling throughout the series.

Bartlett's a star but needs exposure to prove. Fraser-McGurk gets to show on the international stage that the hype is real. Those are the take-aways from this series. Strange summer for sure.
IN A HISTORICAL OF DOMINANCE AUSTRALIA...!!!!
