Honorable Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath recently tried his hand at cricket during the inauguration of the 36th All India Advocate Cricket Tournament in Lucknow. As he stepped up to the crease, CM Yogi with a smile on his face attempted a straight drive and he managed to make solid contact with the ball.
CM Yogi took to X to share his thoughts on the positive trend of people giving huge attention to fitness and encouraging sports. He also thanked Honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi under whom the sporting activities have grown in the nation.
"Today I attended the inaugural ceremony of the 36th All India Advocate Cricket Tournament held in Lucknow. In the last 10 years, under the guidance of the Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, sports activities have expanded in the country. 'Khelo India', 'Fit India Movement', and 'MP Sports Competition' are proof of this. Hearty congratulations and best wishes to all the teams participating in the competition from across the country," he wrote.

CM Yogi earlier that day revealed the logo for Maha Kumbh-2025
Attending the cricket tournament was just part of CM Yogi's busy schedule. Earlier the same day, he unveiled the logo for Maha Kumbh-2025 in Prayagraj. The Chief Minister thoroughly reviewed the ongoing preparations, meeting with saints and performing puja during his visit.
The Maha Kumbh, scheduled from January 14 to February 26, 2025, is set to be a grand affair. CM Yogi announced that the area for the event would be more than double compared to the 2013 edition, with projects worth over INR 5,600 crore to make Prayagraj grand and beautiful. He also has an ambitious target to complete all construction by December 15, 2024.
