Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh was once again in the headlines after he took to Twitter to talk about the several decisions made during the clash between Pakistan and South Africa at the ODI World Cup. Harbhajan talked of how former English skipper Nasser Hussain defended the technology and some poor decisions that were taken in the clash, branding it nonsense.

“Paid to speak for tech to show tech is right. He is suggesting tech is right, @imVkohli isn't, because tech must have paid the broadcaster to show how important is tech .. Ok if the tech is right go with tech y do u need umpires to stick to their own decisions? Utterly nonsense .. use 1 tech or umpire.. don’t make people fool who love this game blindly,” Harbhajan tweeted in response to Nasser Hussain's explainer video.

Furthermore, Harbhajan Singh got into a string of arguments on Twitter for his comments on Nasser Hussain’s review. A user on Twitter asked Harbhajan Singh whether he was an IT expert and that he should not speak on matters that he was not an expert in. The 43-year-old was quick to reply and opined that he was indeed an expert in cricket.

“No I don’t know how IT works but I do know how sports ( cricket) works so if I shouldn’t speak on the IT subject then I think u should not speak too on my subject ( cricket ) Baaki jaise apko theek lage,” Harbhajan Singh tweeted.

Many came forward to opine it was the mistake of the match officials that changed the course of the ODI World Cup 2023 game drastically. The clash ended with South Africa clinching a narrow win by one wicket. Aiden Markram’s knock of 91 runs helped the Proteas chase the target down and make their way atop the points table, moving even closer to the knockout stages.
