The much-awaited schedule for the T20 World Cup 2024 is out as the tournament is all set to get underway from June 01 in the USA and the West Indies. The highly-anticipated India vs Pakistan fixture will take place on June 9 at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in Long Island, New York.
Ahead of the fixture, clips of the venue have been going viral all over social media which shows underpreparedness for the mega event. Notably, in the viral pictures and video the venue looks like an open field without stands where some club cricketers are playing. According to reports, the ground will be broken in February and re-constructed to make it ready for the epic clash.

According to a report by WABC-TV, Nassau County won the bid to build the cricket venue in Eisenhower Park as New York City's original plan to build a 34,000-seat stadium in Van Cortland Park in the Bronx was halted. However, the approval for the stadium was pending in October and since then there has been no update on the issue.
Meanwhile, the India vs Pakistan clash is once again expected to be a blockbuster encounter in the T20 World Cup as the two Asian heavyweights treated the fans with a thrilling encounter at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground in the 2022 edition of the tournament.

Notably, India have an upper hand over Pakistan in the T20 World Cup having beaten them on six occasions out of the seven matches played between the two sides.

Pakistan broke India’s unbeaten record over them during the T20 World Cup 2021 when the Babar Azam-led side crushed the Men in Blue by ten wickets. The upcoming fixture promises to be another mouth-watering clash between the two teams and the game is expected to break all the viewing records once again.
