Niki Prasad completed a truly impressive catch during the game between Delhi Capital Women (DC-W) and UP Warriorz Women (UP-W) in the ongoing Women's Premier League (WPL 2025), at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, in Bengaluru.

The moment unfolded on the first delivery of the seventh over. Kiran Navgire, in a bid to take charge over Arundhati Reddy, who was coming on to bowl her first over of the evening, miscued a slog which went ballooning up in the night sky. Niki, stationed at the deep backward square leg region, steadied herself under the ball which took an eternity to traverse its path into the 19-year-old's hands.

Chinelle Henry stunning blitz led UP-W to 177

After the fall of Navgire, UP-W never really gained any impetus in their innings, until Chinelle Henry arrived at the crease at the fall of the sixth wicket in the 14th over. The West Indian obliterated the opposition bowling unit, smacking two fours and eight maximums in what was truly a mesmerizing display of power-hitting, en route to a 62-run knock off just 23 balls.

As for DC-W, Marizanne Kapp was the pick of the bowlers. She bowled a total of 18 dot deliveries in her four-over spell, ending up with figures of 2/18. Jess Jonassen was marginally more expensive. However, she ended up with four wickets to her name. The Warriorz lost nine wickets in the process of getting up to 177.
