The WPL 2025 is inching its way towards the end, and the competition is becoming increasingly intense with every passing match. A glimpse of the same was witnessed in the UP Warriorz vs Mumbai Indians game, where Harmanpreet Kaur was at loggerheads with the umpire and UP star Sophie Ecclestone.

The altercation occurred towards the end of 19th over when the umpire informed Harmanpreet Kaur that they could have only three players outside the circle in the final over because of the slow over-rate. It did not sit well with the MI captain, and she began arguing with the umpire. Amelia Kerr was also not pleased as she was to ball the final over.

Sophie Ecclestone, who was at the bowler's end, walked towards the umpire at that moment to tell him something. It annoyed Harmanpreet Kaur, who is famous for her on-field brawls, and she could be seen pointing fingers towards the English cricketer, most likely telling her to do her job and not interfere. Of course, Ecclestone who is a talented cricketer, also got infuriated and, after a verbal altercation, walked back towards the bowler's end in anger.

The scenario did not take a turn, and UP Warriorz were unable to take advantage in the last over and were left at 150 after their innings. Sophie got out in the last over at 16, but as a whole it was a sub-par batting effort by UP Warriorz following a good start by Grace Harris and Georgia Voll. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians' Hayley Mathews gave a good start to their innings by scoring 68 runs off 46 balls. The match seems to be in the Mumbai Indians' hands.
