Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma distribute blankets during their visit to Vrindavan ashram

Former India skipper Virat Kohli visited Vrindavan in Mathura along with actor and wife Anushka Sharma recently. After welcoming 2023, the star couple headed on a religious tour to Baba Neem Karoli ashram to seek spiritual blessings.

As per reports, Virat and Anushka meditated at the ashram in Vrindavan and distributed blankets after seeking blessings. Despite the couple avoiding paparazzi, numerous pictures have been making rounds on social media.

The cricketer and the Bollywood film actor were seen offering prayers with folded hands at the ashram in some pictures while they were seen posing with people in some other pictures. Virat donned an olive-green jacket with a black t-shirt and cap whereas Anushka was seen in a black jacket and a white cap as both covered their faces with masks.

The power couple were seen to be spending quality time as the two have taken a short break from their respective professional careers. Virat does not feature in the ongoing T20I series against neighbours Sri Lanka whereas Anushka recently wrapped up the shoot of ‘Chakda Xpress’, a film based on India cricket great Jhulan Goswami.

Speaking about the ongoing series, Hardik Pandya-led team India registered a win in the final ball of the contest and thereby took the lead 1-0 in the series. Despite losing wickets at regular intervals early on, it was Deepak Hooda and Axar Patel’s aggressive knocks which helped them attain a competitive total of 162 runs.

What followed was debutant Shivam Mavi scalping a four-fer in the bowling innings, followed by four wickets between speedster Umran Malik and Harshal Patel. Hooda and Mavi’s sensational innings with the bat and ball, respectively seemed to be the point of difference in the match.

India will look to keep the momentum and aim to clinch the series in the forthcoming T20I match in Pune on January 5. Following the conclusion of the series, the likes of Virat and Rohit Sharma will return to the side for a three-match ODI series against the Islanders.
