Veteran India batter Virat Kohli came back to India following his son Akaay's birth in London. On February 21, Kohli announced the birth of their second child. In a social media post, he announced that his wife Anushka Sharma gave birth to a baby boy on February 15.
The 35-year-old departed India a couple of days before the start of the five-match Test series between India and England. He withdrew from the first two games in Hyderabad and Vishakapatnam citing personal reasons. Later, his close friend and legendary South African cricketer AB de Villiers revealed that the Indian batting stalwart is expecting his second child. Prior to the third Test, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that the former India captain was ruled out of the remainder of the England series.

Kohli to play for RCB in IPL 2024
Virat Kohli is anticipated to join the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) pre-season camp soon ahead of the much-awaited 2024 Indian Premier League (IPL). RCB, the three-time finalists, will play defending champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the curtain-raiser on March 22 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. He is likely to join RCB's annual 'Unbox' promotional event which is set to be conducted in Bengaluru on March 19.
The 35-year-old last played for India in January against Afghanistan in a three-match T20I series at home which the hosts won. The 17th edition of the IPL will be very crucial for the former India captain as his performances in the tournament will help him to seal a spot in the much-awaited 2024 ICC T20 World Cup. The ICC mega event is scheduled to begin on June 2 and will be co-hosted by the United States of America and the West Indies. India will begin their campaign against Ireland on June 5 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York.
