Star India batter Virat Kohli once again went viral during the victory bus parade of the Indian team in Mumbai. The Men in Blue returned from Barbados and landed in Delhi on July 4. The side met up with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, after which they headed to Mumbai for the celebrations.

The entire side was part of a parade from Marine Drive to the Wankhede Stadium. As a huge crowd of people gathered to see the Indian team celebrate, Virat Kohli was seen asking Rajeev Shukla to step aside so he could make way for Rohit Sharma as both lifted the title in celebration.

It is worth noting that both Rohit and Kohli announced their retirements from T20I cricket after India returned triumphant from Barbados as the T20 World Cup winners.

This is the first time in 15 years: Kohli on Rohit Sharma’s emotions

After winning the T20 World Cup, every Indian player was emotional. All-rounder Hardik Pandya got emotional, with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli failing to control their tears as well.

Speaking of Rohit losing control over his emotions, Virat Kohli came forward to highlight that this was the first time in 15 years that he had seen Rohit get this emotional and expressed how he knew that the World Cup final would be his final T20I match.

"This is the first time in 15 years that I have seen Rohit show so much emotion. When we were climbing those steps (at Kensington Oval) he was crying and I was crying,” Kohli said at the Wankhede Stadium.

“I hope we (Rohit and I) have carried the burden and no better to bring it (trophy) back here (Wankhede), Halfway through the game I knew, it was time to let the next generation take over,” He added.
