Virat Kohli shows his playful side with hilarious reaction while receiving Orange Cap, video goes viral
Kohli's unbeaten 83 runs boosted RCB to 182/6, setting up an exciting clash with KKR.
During the 10th match of IPL 2024 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, Virat Kohli showcased his exceptional batting skills as he guided Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
Kohli's outstanding unbeaten 83-run innings propelled RCB to a competitive total of 182/6, setting the stage for an exciting battle against KKR. Beyond Kohli's stellar performance with the bat, his candid reaction during the innings break stole the spotlight.
Receiving the Orange Cap from teammate Cameron Green, Kohli, known for his intensity on the field, displayed a moment of genuine surprise upon realizing he wasn't scheduled for an interview. This spontaneous gesture from the cricketing maestro served as a reminder that even the greatest athletes have unguarded moments of authenticity.
KKR became the first away team to secure victory this season. Chasing a target of 183 runs, KKR's aggressive batting, led by Sunil Narine's explosive 47 off 22 balls, paved the way for their triumph. Despite Kohli's remarkable performance, KKR's strategic acumen and powerful batting lineup, coupled with effective bowling performances, proved too formidable for RCB to overcome.

"Strange one, first innings we thought that the wicket was very two-paced, you could see that when the guys bowled the cutters, back of a length, the guys really struggled. We thought it was a decent score knowing that it gets a little bit easier in the evening, there was a little bit of dew that came in.
"The way the two of them (Narine and Slat) were striking the ball, some really good batting there, they put pressure on our bowlers. They hit strong cricket shots and pretty much took the game away. With Narine there, you can't really go to spin, you want to use pace upfront. That's also a really good match-up for Salt and the way he plays. They were excellent, really broke the game in the first six overs. We've tried the spinning options with Maxi, the finger-spinners seem be be effective here, but at night there wasn't too much spin, With left-hand, right-hand combination, it's one of those things, you can bowl a spinner," he said during the post-match presentation as quoted by Cricbuzz.
