Flamboyant India batter Virat Kohli took to his social media handle to share his new look ahead of the crucial Asia Cup 2023. Notably, the ACC event is all set to commence on Wednesday, August 30, as Pakistan will cross swords with Nepal to kickstart the proceedings at the Multan Cricket Stadium.

Team India, who are currently in the midst of the five-day skill-enhancement camp in Alur, Karnataka, have begun their preparations in full swing for the Asia Cup. Ahead of the ACC event which will be jointly hosted by Pakistan and Sri Lanka, former India skipper Kohli shared his new look on his Instagram handle.

Kohli was seen flaunting his new haircut along with hair stylist Alfahad Ahmed and further expressed his gratitude to the latter.

“Always does a top job. My man Alfahad Ahmed” shared Kohli on his Instagram story.

The 34-year-old batter will be seen in action in the Asia Cup, as the Men in Blue will commence their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy, Sri Lanka, on September 2. Kohli last featured in the first ODI match against the West Indies in the recently concluded multi-format series.

However, the swashbuckling right-hander did not get an opportunity to bat as India comfortably won the contest by five wickets and 163 balls remaining. Speaking about the national team, the side will see the return of speedster Jasprit Bumrah, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer in the ACC event after recuperating from their respective injuries.

Notably, Bumrah made his comeback to the international circuit after a long hiatus during the three-match T20I series against Ireland. Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma will continue to lead the setup whereas Hardik Pandya has been named his deputy for the event.

The think tank will look to use different combinations so as to obtain a core team just in time for the 2023 ODI World Cup which will be played in October in India. Prior to the marquee ICC event, the Men in Blue will also engage in a three-match ODI series against Australia, scheduled to begin on September 22.
