It is worth mentioning that Kohli completed 15 years in international cricket, having made his debut on August 18 2008. Establishing himself as one of the greatest batters of all-time, Kohli has etched his name in history for holding numerous records to his name.
Celebrating his 15 years in international cricket, Kohli perfectly summed up his stint with a two-worded post on social media – ‘Forever Grateful’ with a picture of his masterclass against Pakistan in the 2022 T20 World Cup in Melbourne.
For the record, the 34-year-old batter has featured in 111 Tests, 275 ODIs, and 115 T20Is and has accumulated 8676, 12898, and 4008 runs, respectively. In addition to this, he has 46 tons in ODIs, 29 in Tests and one in T20Is.
Kohli is also the leading run getter in the Indian Premier League (IPL) with a whopping 7263 runs in 237 matches, donning the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) outfit. The ace batter will next be seen in action in the forthcoming Asia Cup 2023, scheduled to start on August 30.
The Men in Blue will kickstart their campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2 at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Sri Lanka. Kohli will look to make the most from the ACC event ahead of the eagerly-anticipated ODI World Cup, which will begin on October 5 in India. Rohit Sharma-led India will square off against five-time winners Pakistan at the MA Chidambaram in Chennai on October 8 in the mega event.
