VVS Laxman, Sourav Ganguly elated with team India’s reception at Marine Drive

Former cricketers VVS Laxman and Sourav Ganguly hailed team India’s victory parade at Marine Drive on July 4. Thousands of fans gathered to celebrate the T20 World Cup win with the players and they were elated with the reception. All the players waved at the fans and clicked photos with the coveted trophy on their way to Wankhede Stadium.
At Wankhede, the players were welcomed with massive cheers from the fans. BCCI officials Jay Shah and Roger Binny handed the team a cheque of INR 125 crores while star players including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah spoke about the win in Barbados and later, were spotted singing and dancing on the ground.

VVS Laxman enjoyed the celebrations and mentioned that it’s what sports do to people. He thanked all the fans for turning up in numbers and congratulated the players for giving so much joy and happiness to the people of India.

Former India captain Sourav Ganguly took to Instagram and stated that the craze for cricket is what makes India apart from the rest of the countries. He lauded the players and mentioned that they deserve such a reception after winning the T20 World Cup.

“This is what makes Indian cricket apart from the rest ..The players deserve every bit of this for what they have achieved .. so proud of each and every individual,” Ganguly posted.
Meanwhile, Hyderabad is slated to celebrate with Mohammed Siraj on the evening of July 5. The pacer called out the fans to turn up in number and be a part of the celebrations.
