Rajasthan Royals' (RR) 14-year-old prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi was seen batting in the nets ahead of the upcoming match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on Sunday, April 13. The young U-19 player was up against the fiery pace of Jofra Archer, who was testing the prodigy to the limit.
Two of the buys which caught the attention of the RR fans were Jofra Archer and Vaibhav Suryavanshi. While Archer was making a long-awaited comeback after 2020, Suryavanshi had shown his talent in the U19 circuit but is very young.
Archer has led the attack well so far with the new ball, and though Suryavanshi is yet to get a game this season, there are still some fans who are waiting to see if he can continue giving impressive performances in one of the toughest T20 leagues.
The clip showed some potential of the young star, and even though Archer was bowling in good rhythm and delivered some brutal bouncers to Suryavanshi. It could have affected the confidence of many batters, however the U19 Asia Cup finalist did not show signs of backing down as he played some attacking shots against the England pacer. Apparently, some of the shots surprised Archer as well.

The clip was also seen by former RR player and South African left-arm wrist spinner Tabraiz Shamsi who was impressed seeing a bowler like Archer bowling to the young teenager and also mentioned how the tournament has helped in getting youngsters ready for the big tournaments.
“A 13-year-old facing Jofra in the nets! You think he's gonna b worried if he plays for India and has 2 face quick bowlers in international cricket? The IPL has done wonders 4 Indian cricket, but it didn't happen overnight. The @SA20_League is going 2 do the same for SA in the future,” Shamsi posted on X (formerly known as Twitter).
