A comical incident was captured on the eve of the first T20I between England and Pakistan, to be played at Headingley.
In a jovial moment caught on camera by Pakistan Cricket Team captain Babar Azam, wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan was seen wearing a full-sleeve practice jersey and holding dollars, while sitting in the team bus which had a glass-covered roof rather than a completely opaque one. Babar posted the clip on his Snapchat story and was heard referring to Azam as 'Abba' (meaning 'father' in Urdu). In the video, Azam was seen wiping off sweat with dollars.

While Azam was about to respond to another teammate's chatter, Babar impromptu asked him, "Abba, kya hua?Garmi hai? (Father, what happened? Is it hot?)". Azam, donning headphones and holding cards in his right hand, playfully responded, "bohot zyada garmi hai Vasood bhai (it's really hot Vasood brother)", while swiping the deck of cards on his forehead, to indicate him profusely sweating due to the intense heat.
Pakistan, coming on the back of a 2-2 draw against New Zealand at home and a 1-2 series win against Ireland away, would be hoping to carry forward the momentum and perform well against a star-studded English unit, whose governing body, the England & Wales Cricket Board, recently called back all their players who were representing their respective IPL franchises in the 17th edition of the showpiece event.

The runners-up of the previous edition of the T20 World Cup do not possess an impressive record in terms of their head-to-head statistics against England, having won only nine out of 29 T20Is against them, with one match being called off due to inclement weather.
