It was an evening of sheer carnage and celebration at the Edgbaston as the Birmingham Phoenix dismantled the Northern Superchargers, securing a historic victory in the The Hundred Men's Competition. This triumph was orchestrated by an exceptional bowling display from Kiwis, Adam Milne and Tim Southee, followed by imperiously dominant batting from Englishmen, Ben Duckett and Moeen Ali.

However, the undeniable highlights of the day were two remarkable moments during the Phoenix's batting, as they chased down a target of 84 for victory.

The first standout moment of the game occurred when Duckett, not typically recognized for his unorthodox style in T20Is, brilliantly executed a premeditated ramp shot over the keeper's head off a delivery from Matt Potts. It seemed as though he anticipated Potts' line and length even before the ball was released, flawlessly sending it soaring over the fine-leg region for a thunderous six.

The second similar shot came shortly thereafter, as Duckett once again aimed for the same region on the 29th delivery, this time dispatching a full-toss from Jordan Clark for a one-bounce boundary. While the nature of the delivery facilitated the execution, the anticipation and precision displayed remained a marvel to behold.

Duckett and Moeen batted with a sense of effortless mastery, rendering the Superchargers' bowlers utterly powerless against their onslaught. The pair orchestrated a display of supreme dominance, with Duckett remaining unbeaten on 43* off 20 balls and Moeen accumulating 37* off 21. Their imperious performance dismantled the second-lowest total ever recorded in The Hundred with utmost ease, as the Phoenix rose to third position on the points table after playing five games this edition.
