Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were not too pleased with Kuldeep Yadav's effort on the field during the Semi-Final 1 clash between India and Australia at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, March 4.

The incident took place in the 32nd over of the first innings when Steve Smith flicked a full delivery to Kohli at mid-wicket. The former India skipper threw the ball at the non-striker's end, flat and hard. Kuldeep thought about collecting the ball but backed out at the last moment. Rohit, who was backing up at cover, stopped the ball.

Rohit and Kohli were seen fuming over Kuldeep as they wanted him to back up the throw. Smith, however, had made his crease by then and that could have been one of the reasons why Kuldeep decided not to stop the ball.

Steve Smith, Glenn Maxwell dismissed in quick succession

Mohammed Shami gave India a huge breakthrough when he dismissed a well-set Steve Smith in the 37th over. This broke a fluent 54-run partnership off 58 balls for the fifth wicket between Smith and Alex Carey. Smith stepped out in an attempt to hit a boundary down the ground but he failed to connect with a low full-toss which crashed into off-stump. The Australian captain had to make his way back to the pavilion after scoring 73 off 96 balls on a tough wicket for batting.

Glenn Maxwell walked out to the middle after Smith's dismissal. He hit a six off Axar Patel in the following over. However, the left-arm spinner bounced back immediately after this as he cleaned up the dangerous Maxwell with a straight delivery. Australia were reduced to 205/6 in the 38th over after the double blow. Carey holds the key for the Men in Yellow as they look to post a formidable total on a tricky surface.
