WATCH: Cricket's coolest hangout - Sixes Social Cricket takes UK by storm
"More people now play cricket at Sixes in the UK than play the sport itself," Co-founder Mackinnon said.
Cricket as a game is not just confined to stadiums or village greens anymore. In the United Kingdom (UK), Sixes Cricket Club has changed the sport into a modern social experience, mixing fascinating gameplay with exceptional dining. The Club provides advanced cricket technology and a Great British BBQ menu, attracting casual players and professionals alike.
Launched in Fulham in December 2020 by Calum Mackinnon and Andy Waugh, Sixes Cricket Club presents an inclusive space where players of all abilities can enjoy the fun of the game. The Belfast technology experience allows participants to step into netted “cages” and face virtual bowlers. Players can choose from six difficulty levels and various game modes, including a Hundred-style version developed with the England and Wales Cricket Board.
This concept has rapidly found success, having 18 locations across the UK, including London, Leicester, Southampton, and Oxford. With plans to add 20–30 new venues and expand internationally to the Caribbean and the US, Sixes is set to reach an audience globally. The brand has already received over 1,500 franchise inquiries, mostly from the US.
Cricket legends Ben Stokes and Stuart Broad, alongside notable players like Jofra Archer, KL Rahul, and Jason Roy, have invested in the venture through the 4CAST Investment Group. Their involvement with Sixes’ is to make cricket more accessible and enjoyable while broadening the sport’s appeal to younger and more diverse audiences.

The club ensures a well-rounded experience for everyone
Much like ventures such as Flight Club for darts or Puttshack for mini-golf, Sixes rediscovers traditional sports, making them engaging and accessible. Alongside cricket, it also has a menu of classic British BBQ dishes, craft beers, and cocktails, ensuring a well-rounded experience for everyone.
