In a viral moment, Trinbago Knight Riders’ all-rounders Dwayne Bravo and Andre Russell shared a wholesome moment on the sidelines of the CPL (Caribbean Premier League) 2024. In a clip shared by the official account of Trinbago Knight Riders, Dwayne Bravo was seen gifting his golden boots to Andre Russell. 

In the clip, Russell wore the special boots and went batting in the nets wearing them. He was also seen highlighting how comfortable they were. Bravo also highlighted how he was handing over his boots to Russell, from one all-rounder to another. 

“Ladies and gentlemen, from one all-rounder to the next. I am handing over my boots to the general,” Bravo said in the clip. “Golden boots, from one all-rounder to another!” Trinbago Knight Riders captioned the post. Russell also revealed that he would bowl with the boots on as well. The video has been making the rounds all over social media.

Trinbago Knight Riders hope to move up in CPL standings

Speaking of Trinbago Knight Riders, the side currently occupy third place in the CPL 2024 standings. With three matches played, the side has managed to win two and lose one game. With four points to their name, Knight Riders will hope to register some more wins and make their way up into the standings. 

The side played their last game against St. Lucia Kings, where they managed to register a comfortable victory. Bowling first, Riders conceded 187 runs in the first innings. Aiming to chase the target, skipper Kieron Pollard scored a brilliant half century and helped his side chase the target in 19.2 overs, winning the game by four wickets. 

For their next clash, Trinbago Knight Riders will be taking on Barbados Royals. Both sides will lock horns in the 15th game of the tournament at the Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados, on September 14.
