The Men in Blue fresh from their victory in Barbados on June 29, arrived in Mumbai for a grand celebration after meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. A cricket fan was spotted climbing a tree branch during Team India's victory parade at Marine Drive in Mumbai on July 4.

The team's journey home was not without challenges, as they were initially stranded in Barbados due to Hurricane Beryl before being flown out on a specially arranged charter flight.

The victory parade, featuring an open-top bus carrying the champion's side, commenced from Marine Drive and made its way to the iconic Wankhede Stadium. As the bus progressed along the route, a sea of fans flooded the streets, eager to catch a glimpse of their cricketing heroes.

Among these enthusiastic supporters, one fan took his devotion to new heights, quite literally, by climbing a tree to get a better view of the team.

The parade was part of a day filled with celebratory events for the team. Following their meeting with the PM earlier in the day, the players were scheduled for a BCCI felicitation function at the Wankhede Stadium. Fans were offered free entry to this event on a first-come, first-serve basis.

To accommodate the massive turnout and ensure smooth proceedings, Mumbai traffic police implemented several restrictions. Seven roads in South Mumbai were closed to traffic, and parking was prohibited on ten roads.
