The Champions Trophy is just five days away and there has been a lot of drama with the venues that will be hosting the ICC event this season. The Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and National Stadium in Karachi were inaugurated during the ODI Tri-Series which apart from Pakistan included New Zealand and South Africa.

There were a lot of reports suggesting that the venues for the Champions Trophy would not be ready for the tournament but the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) ensured that the grounds at Karachi, Lahore, and Rawalpindi will be ready on schedule and security will be tight during the tournament. However, the recent events that have taken place have said otherwise during the ceremony of the National Stadium where free entry was allowed for the fans to witness their favourite players ahead of the venues. While the scenes of the crowd cheering were great there were still some problems in the stadium.

The clip of fans forcefully climbing the fence of the VIP stands in Karachi has gone viral all over social media. These are not great scenes especially after the PCB had promised that the security during the events will be great. This was not all as there was also a fan who breached the security within the stadium as well as a fan who entered the ground during the ceremony. Though the fan was finally subdued by security these circumstances did not make a great impression on the ground staff and the PCB.

Check out the clips below:

Speaking of The National Stadium it will be hosting the final of the Tri-Series that will feature Pakistan and New Zealand going head-to-head. While New Zealand has remained unbeaten in the series so far, Pakistan after facing a disappointing defeat in the opening game against Black Caps came back well in their last game against South Africa where Pakistan skipper Mohammad Rizwan and vice-captain Salman Ali Agha made sure they chased down a huge total of 350+ to make it to the finals of the tournament.
