Indian premier all-rounder, Hardik Pandya, posted recently on Instagram. The post was made today, on the occasion of India's 76th Republic Day. It was a beautiful clip mixed with widespread stills of Hardik representing the nation in the format.

For the unversed, Hardik made his international and T20I debut way back in 2016 on the same day. The first T20I of the three-match series against Australia Down Under was when Hardik donned the Indian Blues for the first time. Although he did not get to bat due to only three wickets falling in India's innings, he ended up securing the wickets of Chris Lynn and Matthew Wade to end his debut on a high. India ended up winning the game in Adelaide by 37 runs.

Vande Mataram, the song he put as a backdrop to his post was from the action-cum-thriller blockbuster Bollywood film, Fighter. Within no time, a truckload of comments appeared on his post, mostly all of them expressing love and support for the cricketer's journey so far.

As for Hardik's current cricketing endeavours, he is currently involved in the ongoing five-match T20I series between India and England. Although the hosts claimed a 2-0 lead by winning their games in Kolkata and Chennai, Hardik did not have much of a contribution in both the games. In fact, he performed better with the ball in terms of wickets taken than with the willow.

However, he still nonetheless is a crucial component of the Indian lineup. After the remainder of the T20I series, Hardik will have a total of three ODIs to showcase his performances in the 50-over format before India head to the United Arab Emirates for the upcoming edition of the Champions Trophy. Hardik's role in the Champions Trophy squad is expected to be vital to India's success in the tournament.
