March 4, 2025 has become a memorable day for the Indian cricket team fans as the team went on to beat Australia in the semi-finals of the Champions Trophy 2025. This was another remarkable performance from the Indian team who reached their fifth Champions Trophy final after the four-wicket win against the Yellow brigade.
Though the Aussies did put up a competitive total of 264 on the board the Indian team managed to chase the total down with 11 balls to spare. KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja were the batters at the crease and Rahul even went on to finish the game with a six. This was a big win for the team since the last time they had beaten the Australian side in an ICC knockout game was in the 2011 ODI World Cup quarter-final.
Other than the fans, the scenes in the dressing room were jubilant with glimpses of a light-hearted chat between skipper Rohit Sharma and senior player Virat Kohli about what shot Hardik Pandya will play to finish the game for the team. The celebration among the teammates was also full of energy, showing the raw emotions.

This was another game where Virat Kohli showed why he is known as the king of chasing. The 36-year-old legendary batter scored 84 off 98 deliveries and made sure that the Indian side remained in the game. Though Virat’s innings only featured five boundaries, he made sure that the team did not play many dot balls and rotated the strike.
He is now the leading run-getter for India in the tournament scoring 217 runs at an average of 72.33. This was another important knock he played during an important game against the side who has had the edge over them in ICC knockout events.
