Chennai Super Kings (CSK) players were spotted in Ayodhya taking blessings at the Lord Rama temple ahead of their clash in Lucknow's Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium. All the players, including Shreyas Gopal and many others, were seen in the temple. Before reaching Lucknow, the players went to the Hanuman Garhi temple and later visited the Ramlala temple.

The MS Dhoni-led side will clash against LSG on April 14 in Match No. 30 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. CSK aren't in good form as they are currently at the bottom of the points table with just one win in five games. This season, CSK have lost four consecutive games, out of which they have lost three in M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, for the first time in the league's history.

Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad was ruled out of the tournament due to an elbow fracture, and MS Dhoni returned to his captaincy duty. However, that didn't stop CSK from losing the match against the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). It wasn't a good day, as the batters were completely exposed to the powerplay. They scored just 103-9 in the first innings.

Without Gaikwad, Chennai's batting has looked weaker than ever, especially with the middle-order not being able to contribute. The batters are lacking intent to keep the scoreboard ticking, as is evident from their sluggish batting approach during the previous match against KKR, where they also registered their lowest-ever team total at Chepauk. A change in approach is like the need of the hour right now for the five-time champions.

Despite being a top side over the years, CSK seem to have lost the winning touch in the past couple of seasons or so, ever since Gaikwad took over the captaincy reins. However, with Dhoni back at the helm, CSK fans can only hope for a dramatic comeback.
