[Watch] IPL 2025: Father-to-be Nitish Rana brings out cradle celebration in RR vs CSK clash
Rana is expecting twins with wife Saachi.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) are taking on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Match No. 11 at the Barsapara Stadium, Guwahati in the IPL 2025. RR came in to bat first after CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad won the toss and opted to take the field.
After losing Yashasvi Jaiswal early in the innings, RR's Nitish Rana came in to bat No. 3 and wasted no time to get going. The powerplay belonged completely to Rana, who faced 21 balls to skyrocket to his half-century. After reaching the milestone, the Southpaw made a heartwarming gesture through his celebration. Rana, who is expecting twins with wife Saachi Marwah, pulled out the special 'baby' move, the video of which went viral all over social media.

The Delhi-born cricketer played 36 balls in his scintillating knock, where he amassed a staggering 81 runs for the 2008 champions. This was also his first half-century of the season and in RR kit, and surely put his side on the front foot in the first innings.
Taking on seasoned spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in his opening spell, Rana thrashed him for two sixes and a boundary on three deliveries, eventually getting the better of the spinner. However, it was the same Ashwin who dismissed him roughly seven overs later. Ashwin bowled a wide delivery outside the off-stump, after seeing Rana step out, and the execution was perfect as the legendary gloves of MS Dhoni made no mistake to whip off the bails.
Noor Ahmad gets hold of the Purple Cap, again!
Meanwhile, left-arm spinner, Noor Ahmad, got hold of the Purple Cap once again, just few hours after Mitchell Starc had bagged it in the game earlier today. On being the highest wicket-taker so far, Noor was delighted that he was able to contribute to team's success.
"(On becoming the Purple Cap holder again) Happy to get it back, always feels special, hope I can keep it at the and of the tournament. The wrong'un (googly) was going good on this surface, I was getting a bit of grip and turn - that is why I wanted to bowl it a little more. It feels good to contribute to my team, always want to contribute, whether it is in fielding, bowling or any department. I knew any full delivery will go for a boundary, so pulled my length back. Hopefully we can get a good start and we can adjust in the middle," he said after the first innings.
