[WATCH] IPL 2025: KL Rahul's hilarious definition of mentor leaves Kevin Pietersen in splits

Delhi Capitals (DC) are having the time of their life, enjoying the top place on the IPL 2025 Points Table after completing six matches in the IPL 2025. They have lost only one game until now, which speaks highly of the players' performance. The Delhi-based franchise has reached Ahmedabad for their clash against the Gujarat Titans (GT).

During one of the practice sessions, Shubman Gill met Kevin Pietersen and engaged in a heartfelt conversation. While talking to each other, Pietersen asked jokingly about the qualities of being a mentor, and then said, "No one knows what a mentor is."

Overhearing their conversation, KL Rahul jumped in and left everyone in splits with his sarcastic comment on Pietersen. Rahul promptly said, "Mentor is someone who goes to the Maldives for two weeks mid-season." The players surrounding them burst out laughing, while Pietersen stood there looking at Rahul with a cheeky smile on his face. The conversation between the players showed the camaraderie they have with each other.

Notably, the Capitals' mentor went to the Maldives mid-season on April 5 after DC defeated CSK. He wasn't available for the next game against RCB on April 10, but returned ahead of the Motera encounter.

DC have won five out of their six matches so far and are not far away from qualifying for the playoffs. Under captain Axar Patel, the team is doing really well. Moreover, Axar is leading from the front by contributing in almost every game in some way or the other. Their last encounter against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) was a dramatic one, which went into the Super Over, eventually won by the hosts in a thrilling way.

The Royals scored just 11 runs in the Super Over, which KL Rahul and Tristan Stubbs chased down in just four balls. After that win, they climbed up the points table, having briefly sacrificed the position. Ahead of their match against Titans, Axar Patel will be looking forward to maintaining their winning streak.
