After the recent IPL 2025 clash between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), a post-match video showing spinner Kuldeep Yadav slapping Rinku Singh has gone viral. While the first slap appeared to be in banter, the second caught Rinku off guard, who was somewhat shocked after the act from his Indian teammate.
The incident occurred after the match ended during a light-hearted conversation among players from both sides. In the clip, the two were seen joking around with others when Kuldeep suddenly slapped Rinku. The first slap drew laughter and seemed to be part of the banter. However, moments later, the spinner slapped the left-handed batter again, this time with a bit more force, prompting Rinku to be serious and exchange a few words with the spinner. Although there was no audio in the video to clarify the context.

He, along with Angkrish Raghuvanshi, stitched an important 61-run stand to give the side the required push. He also hit Kuldeep for 17 runs in an over.
On the other hand, the wrist-spinner had an poor outing, finishing with figures of 0/27 in three overs. He struggled to make an impact with the ball as KKR’s batters dominated DC’s spinners, particularly in the PowerPlay and middle overs. DC’s chase was going strong until Faf du Plessis (62) and Axar Patel (43) were at the crease. But the home team eventually fell just short at 190/9, thanks to Sunil Narine’s all-round brilliance.
Meanwhile, this win was very important for the defending champions to keep their playoff hopes alive, as they now hold the seventh position with four wins and nine points. For DC, the loss has hampered their confidence going forward to secure the top-two spot.
