Mohammed Siraj and Virat Kohli share a beautiful bond that started taking shape after the former joined Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) ahead of the 2018 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Siraj spent seven seasons at RCB before the franchise released him ahead of the mega-auction last year.
During the two-day event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Siraj was roped in for a staggering INR 12.25 crore by the Gujarat Titans (GT), who are set to face RCB at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday, April 2. Ahead of the mouth-watering clash, Siraj got the opportunity to catch up with Kohli, whom he considers his elder brother.
Siraj caught up with his former India and RCB skipper in training. RCB and GT posted snippets from the interaction on their social media handles. The two cricketers were also seen embracing each other in the video, which has made fans emotional.

RCB fans were not too pleased when Siraj was released from the side. They had witnessed the Hyderabad pacer developing from a rookie to a world-class bowler and considered him one of their own. Siraj did not have a great start to his career at GT, as he conceded 54 runs in his four overs in his first game against Punjab Kings. However, he had an excellent outing in the second game against the Mumbai Indians, picking up the wickets of openers Ryan Rickelton and Rohit Sharma with the new ball.
Meanwhile, RCB are on cloud nine after beating defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders and five-time champions Chennai Super Kings in away games to start their campaign. Kohli, who won the IPL Orange Cap last year, started the campaign with an unbeaten 59 off 36 balls against KKR. In the second game against CSK, the Delhi batter managed 31 off 30 balls.
The IPL returns to M Chinnaswamy Stadium as two formidable teams are set to battle it out in front of a full house. With two crucial points at stake, expect a high-octane affair on Wednesday as IPL 2025 picks up steam.
