The CSK vs MI game featured the greatness of MS Dhoni as his request for a review of Mitchell Santner’s dismissal shocked the players and the commentators. Bowler Nathan Ellis’s reaction said it all as the umpire had to overturn his decision, which led to the Kiwi making his way towards the dugout during the match.
Though Dhoni’s contribution to the field was not visible on the scorecard, there were still highlights of his brilliant cricketing brain which was witnessed on the field. The former CSK skipper apart from the lightning-quick stumping was still involved in the game and was the perfect guide to new captain Ruturaj Gaikwad and was involved in some important decisions which were made during the game which was in the end convincingly won by the Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Sunday.

The Santner dismissal was a perfect example of how Dhoni was the best at using the DRS, where a back-of-the-length delivery from Australia bowler Nathan Ellis wrapped Santner on the pads and the umpire had signalled it not out.
Ellis quickly turned to Dhoni behind the stumps and while the skipper and the bowler were unsure Dhoni requested Gaikwad to take the review, and it turned out that not only was the ball pitching in line but also crashed into the middle stump which led to the umpire to overturn his decision. Though all the players and commentators were shocked, it was Ellis’ surprised and excited reaction that told the story of how great the review was.
