Former Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain MS Dhoni was disappointed after pacer Mukesh Choudhary dropped a crucial catch of KL Rahul during the match against Delhi Capitals (DC) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on April 5.
The incident occurred in the 19th over of the first innings. KL Rahul attempted a slog, and the ball got a top-edge that went straight up into the air. Mukesh Choudhary positioned himself under the ball, but despite getting both hands to it, he failed to hold on.
The catch was straightforward, and the wicketkeeper, who was behind the stumps, did not hide his emotion. The left-arm pacer had a poor day with the ball as well, conceding 50 runs in his four-over spell without taking a wicket.

DC on a higher note with the knock of KL Rahul
Earlier, DC had elected to bat first and got off to a shaky start, losing opener Jake Fraser-McGurk in the very first over to Khaleel Ahmed. However, KL Rahul, promoted up the order, joined hands with Abhishek Porel to steady the innings. Porel played a knock of 33 runs before falling to Ravindra Jadeja.
In the middle order, Axar Patel and Sameer Rizvi chipped in with cameos that helped boost the scoring. KL Rahul led the innings with a commanding performance, scoring 77 runs off 50 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixers by the end of the 19th over. On the other end, Tristan Stubbs was playing a quick-fire innings, smashing 21 runs off 10 deliveries. At the end of 19 overs, DC stood strong at 176 for 4.
