Rajasthan Royals (RR) achieved their first victory in the IPL 2025 against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on Sunday, March 30. Riyan Parag was ecstatic about the win on his home ground, Barsapara Cricket Stadium, Guwahati, as the stand-in captain. The player was spotted clicking pictures with the ground staff after the match, which landed him in a soup.
After taking the selfie, he threw the phone towards the ground staff, who fumbled a bit but caught it successfully. However, fans seemed to have not liked this side of Parag and felt that he could have handed over the phone in a better way.

Meanwhile, yesterday's game was a last-over thriller, keeping the fans hooked to the edge of their seats, especially in the last few overs. CSK needed 39 runs to win in the last two overs with Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni on the crease. In the 19th over, Tushar Deshpande was hit for 19 runs, with two sixes and one boundary. With 20 runs to win in the last over, Sandeep Kumar came in to bowl.
Despite having a good day with the ball, many expected Jofra Archer to come in and bowl the last over. However, Riyan Parag went ahead with his plan and handed the ball to Sandeep Sharma. The bowler delivered a wide on the very first ball as Dhoni was on strike. The legendary batter hit the next ball really hard, but to everyone's surprise, it landed up in Hetmyer's hands at deep mid-wicket.
After Dhoni's dismissal, CSK's hope of winning the game faded. Archer was fantastic with the ball, and he didn't feel like he was not having a good time in the last two games. He, nevertheless, outplayed the top-order in the powerplay, leaving the team in dismay. However, it was Nitish Rana's 81 runs that helped RR post a good total on the board. For his mindblowing performance, he was awarded the 'Player of the Match' trophy.
