[WATCH] IPL 2025: Riyan Parag's graceful flick stuns Matheesha Pathirana in RR vs CSK clash
Riyan Parag was dismissed on 37 runs off 28 balls by the same bowler.
Rajasthan Royals (RR) had a good outing with the bat against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the 11th match of IPL 2025 at Guwahati's Barsapara Cricket Stadium. Nitish Rana's effortless batting helped them put up 182/9 on the board.
However, the start was not ideal for the hosts as they lost the opener Yashaswi Jaiswal at an early stage. Rana, Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag then handled the batting quite gracefully with some brilliant cricketing shots.
For instance, Rajasthan Royals skipper Parag hit a gracious flick against pacer Matheesha Pathirana in the 10th over, welcoming the bowler with a six. It was a full-length delivery onto the pads, which the batter read well and dispatched it over deep sqaure.
Parag played a sensible knock alongside Rana, as the duo added 38 runs off 24 balls for the third wicket. Parag was eventually dismissed on 37 off 28 by the same bowler in the 18th over as a well-executed yorker cleaned him up. Meanwhile, Rana smashed 81 off merely 36 balls with the help of 10 fours and five sixes.

4The home team, which looked set to go past 200 at one stage, was restricted to 182 as wickets kept coming at regular intervals. CSK bowlers divided the wickets among themselves, with Pathirana, Noor Ahmad, and Khaleel Ahmed taking two each. It was not the best day for CSK debutant Jamie Overton, who was hit for 30 runs in two overs.
