[WATCH] IPL 2025: Rohit Sharma urges MI teammates to show positive attitude
MI lost their first game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by four wickets.
Rohit Sharma has been a driving force for the Mumbai Indians (MI) for almost twelve years now. The former skipper had won five trophies for the team and has a lot of experience in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Ahead of MI's game against the Gujarat Titans (GT), the franchise shared a video where Rohit was seen spreading positivity in the dressing room by saying, 'Smile everyone'.
Mumbai had lost their first game against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) by four wickets. Keeping that loss in mind, Rohit urged everyone to cheer up and 'move on' from the loss. He went to on explain why he said that in 'In Charcha with Rohit Sharma', a special segment with him.
"It's a very simple line, but it means a lot. Jo bhi hota hai (whatever happens), at the end of the day, you have to try to find a way to smile, be happy, and find peace with it. That’s why, in MI, we always talk about moving on — whether we win or lose — because life doesn’t end here. After every low, the sun rises again. You wake up and find a way to fight another day," said Rohit Sharma in the video.

Under Hardik Pandya, MI's previous season didn't go well as they finished at the bottom of the points table. However, they made a good effort in the mega auction and picked up some of the best players in the league. Despite a terrific squad, their top-order failed to score in the first game which was the main reason behind their defeat against CSK.
Speaking about the playing combination Mumbai Indians have, they have a balanced side with some terrific batters and bowlers. If all the players manage to play as per their potential, then they can easily beat Gujarat Titans (GT) in their own backyard.
