[Watch] IPL 2025: Sai Sudharsan cheekily scoops Tushar Deshpande for six

An exquisite scoop from Sai Sudharsan off Tushar Deshpande carried for a maximum towards the fine leg area during Match 23 of the 2025 edition of the Indian Premier League between Gujarat Titans and Rajasthan Royals at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. This was Sudharsan's second maximum of his innings.

A short-of-a-length ball delivery arriving around the sixth stump channel was cleverly lapped by the left-handed top-order batter. The sheer pace of Deshpande helped the ball to carry over the fence. The premeditated shot was executed quite sensationally at the end.

Earlier in the evening, RR won the toss and put GT in to bat first. The hosts went ahead with no changes to their XI. Apart from the wicket of skipper, Shubman Gill, who departed early on courtesy of a peach of a delivery by Jofra Archer, the powerplay belonged to GT as they ended up scoring 56/1.

Other than their tournament opener which was narrowly lost by GT, they have been in top-notch form as far as IPL 2025 is concerned. A 36-win against Mumbai Indians was followed by eight and seven-wicket victories away against Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad, respectively.

RR went ahead with one change in their ongoing game against GT. Wanindu Hasaranga missed out due to personal reasons with Fazalhaq Farooqi replacing the Sri Lankan all-rounder. RR are coming on the back of a couple of victories against Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings, respectively. They did not have the best of starts to their campaign, losing two games on the trot.
