The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) avenged their defeat from earlier in the season against Delhi Capitals (DC) on April 28 at Delhi's Arun Jaitley Stadium. Rajat Patidar and co. as beat the hosts by six wickets courtesy of a brilliant batting display from Krunal Pandya and Virat Kohli after a clinical job by the bowlers.
After the match, Kohli touched his childhood coach Rajkumar Sharma's feet in a gesture of respect and affection. A video released by RCB official account went viral which showed the beautiful moment between the Indian veteran cricketer and his coach.


Speaking of the match against DC, Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled excellently and picked three wicket to dismantle the hosts and help his team restrict them for 162. In the second innings, Krunal and Kohli in middle overs calmly and took the team to cross the finishing line comfortably.
Krunal scored an unbeaten 73 off 47 and well-supported by Virat Kohli (51 off 47) which made the team reach the top of the points table with their seventh victory in the IPL 2025. The left-arm spinner expressed his happiness and satisfaction after the victory against DC, where the batter has contributed with both bat and ball.
“It’s been a long wait for me to get my rhythm in the batting. But again it's quite satisfying and quite overwhelming as well because I have been searching for something like this. Because I always knew that I have it in me, somewhere down the line, but something was missing. But again I used to ask the question and tell myself, ‘Don’t give up, it will come’. So, I mean yeah it’s just that I am able to contribute and do it for the team. And the icing on the cake was I was not out and when you put the team first, God also blesses you in the right way, if the intentions are right,” said Krunal in the dressing room video released by RCB.
