Australian all-rounder Jess Jonassen brought a touch of Bollywood flair to the ongoing Women's Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) 2024. During a match between Trinbago Knight Riders and Barbados Royals on Friday at Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad, Jonassen celebrated a crucial wicket by striking the iconic pose of actor Shah Rukh Khan.
The Women's CPL, now in its second edition, has been gaining traction from global international talent in T20 cricket. The involvement of the Knight Riders franchise, co-owned by Khan, Juhi Chawla, and Jay Mehta, has brought additional star power to the league.
The moment took place in the 15th over of the Royals' innings when Jonassen dismissed Aaliyah Alleyne with a brilliant delivery. Immediately after taking the wicket, the 31-year-old spread her arms wide, mimicking the actor's signature pose.

Jonassen's performance was a highlight for the Knight Riders, as she finished with impressive figures of 2/21 in her four-over spell. However, her efforts weren't enough to secure a victory for her team.
The Knight Riders, batting first, managed to post a total of 113/9 in their allotted 20 overs, with contributions from skipper Deandra Dottin (28 off 26) and Shikha Pandey (30 off 34).
In response, the Barbados-based franchise chased down the target with relative ease, winning by seven wickets with 17 balls to spare.
