It was quite a debut for Pakistan batter Kamran Ghulam. Taking center stage against England in the second Multan Test of the ongoing series Ghulam made his way into the squad after ace batter Babar Azam was dropped from the side following subpar performances.

Making his Test debut, Ghulam completed his century and became the 13th cricketer from Pakistan to score a century on his Test debut. At the age of 29, he is also the second oldest Pakistan cricketer to achieve the feat after Abid Ali.

In a clip shared by Pakistan Cricket across various social media platforms, Ghulam was captured putting his name onto the honours list. The likes of Abdullah Shafique, Salman Ali Agha, Shan Masood, Harry Brook, and Joe Root have been included in the honours list as well, and Ghulam looked delighted to be there.

“A memorable day for @KamranGhulam7 as he puts his name on the Multan Cricket Stadium honours board following a 100 on debut,” the PCB captioned the post.

Pakistan look to bounce back after first Test embarrassment

Speaking of the ongoing series, Pakistan will be looking to forget their past performances and hope for a comeback in the second Test. It is worth noting that the side came into the series against England on the back of a Test series loss to Bangladesh in their own backyard.

Furthermore, the first Test against England did not see any improvement from the team. The visitors completely overwhelmed Pakistan as England defeated the side by an innings and 47 runs.

After the first Test loss, the PCB announced that they would be dropping Babar Azam from the upcoming matches, which attracted a lot of attention to the board. However, with Kamran Ghulam scoring a ton on his debut, the replacement has looked in decent touch.
