The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are in serious trouble as they have lost three early wickets while chasing 163 runs against the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the 46th match of IPL 2025. Despite a solid start, they lost Jacob Bethell (12 off 6) in the third over, with Karun Nair taking a stunning catch to dismiss him.

Immediately after, Devdutt Padikkal was bowled for a duck by skipper Axar Patel. RCB's captain, Rajat Patidar, walked in next and looked in good touch, scoring a boundary off the second ball. However, his stay was short-lived as Karun Nair hit the bullseye to send him back to the pavilion.

The incident occurred on the last ball of the fourth over when Virat Kohli was at the crease, facing Mukesh Kumar. Kohli struck the ball towards mid-wicket, where Karun Nair was positioned. The fielder collected the ball and threw it to the non-striker's end, as Patidar was out of the crease. When Kohli hit the ball, the RCB captain began to run but was sent back.

However, Patidar couldn't make it in time as Nair followed his instincts and hit the stumps with a direct throw. As a result, the right-handed batter was dismissed for six runs, with Kohli visibly frustrated and helpless.

At the time of writing, Kohli and Krunal Pandya have formed a partnership of 47 runs off 43 balls and are currently looking strong. This middle-order partnership might save RCB from their first away match defeat. They still have some brilliant batters to come who can finish the innings for the team.
