Interestingly, Rahul has also been present at Mohun Bagan SG matches in the past during his stint with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), the IPL team owned by Goenka. Most recently, even Rishabh Pant, Rahul’s replacement as LSG captain, was spotted cheering for Mohun Bagan during their semi-final win over Jamshedpur FC in Kolkata, with Goenka and other LSG staff also in attendance.
Rahul’s message came after his batting heroics against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the Chinnaswamy Stadium on Thursday, April 8. The right-hand batter played a match-winning 93* off 53 balls to seal the game for his side. He also performed a celebration inspired by the movie Kantara after hitting the winning six.
