Watch: Kuldeep Yadav bamboozles Tanzid Hasan with incredible googly

In an epic clash at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua, India faced off against Bangladesh in the seventh Super Eight fixture of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. A moment of sheer brilliance took place in the 10th over of the second innings, courtesy of India's spin wizard Kuldeep Yadav.

The match began with Bangladesh winning the toss and electing to bowl first. India, riding high on their victory against Afghanistan in the previous game, entered the contest unchanged. Bangladesh, seeking redemption after their loss to Australia, made a strategic substitution by bringing in Jaker Ali for Taskin Ahmed.

As Bangladesh began their chase, opener Tanzid Hasan looked to provide a strong start. However, his innings was cut short by a piece of bowling magic from the chinaman. In the 9.4th over, with Bangladesh at 66/1, Kuldeep delivered a brilliant googly that caught Tanzid off guard.

The left-hand batter who was attempting to cut the ball, was completely foxed by the delivery that spun back quickly. The ball caught him by surprise, leaving no time for a second line of defense as it hit his pad. As the decision went to the third umpire, both the players were also seen exchanging a few words during the critical moment of the game.

Initially given out on the field, Tanzid opted for a review, hoping for a spare. The ball tracking revealed three reds, confirming the on-field decision. Tanzid's innings ended at 29 off 31 balls, leaving Bangladesh at 66/2. Kuldeep took another wicket in his next over, this time getting the better of Towhid Hridoy in a similar fashion who was batting on just four runs. Followed up by a wicket of veteran all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, as the Bengal Tigers score stood at 98/4.

India's batters put on a solid performance, posting a total of 196/5 in their allotted 20 overs. Hardik Pandya's unbeaten 50 off 27 balls was the highlight of the innings, ably supported by Virat Kohli's 37,  Rishabh Pant's quick-fire 36 and Shivam Dube's 34.
