The match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Delhi Capitals (DC) saw another great performance from Kuldeep Yadav. The left-arm wrist spinner similarly dismissed both batters and proved his worth as a game-changing bowler by controlling the middle overs for his team.
Kuldeep Yadav is one of the best bowlers in the IPL for the Delhi Capitals and finished with figures of 2/17 in his full quota of four overs and was the most economical bowler for his side at the Chinnaswamy, which is known to be a nightmare for the bowlers. Kuldeep took the important scalps of RCB skipper Rajat Patidar and swashbuckling wicket-keeper batter Jitesh Sharma in the match. This was a display of sheer class as both the batters were dismissed on a flighted delivery on a good length which was on a line between middle and off stump.
DC star stumper batter KL Rahul was involved in both dismissals, taking a simple catch on both occasions. The only thing different between the two dismissals was the shots the two players played as Jitesh tried to punch the ball off the backfoot and ended up getting a leading edge, and Rajat Patidar tried to slog the delivery over mid-wicket. This showed the ability of the 2024 T20 World Championsβ talent and ability as he was able to trap the batters on the same ball while inviting the batter to play a loose shot.
