During the third and final ODI between India and England at the gigantic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, an entertaining moment took place between Virat Kohli and Liam Livingstone during India's innings. Kohli survived a close DRS call, and Livingstone wasted no time in playfully reminding him how lucky he was.

England's skipper Jos Buttler won the toss and elected to bowl first, hoping to take advantage of early conditions. India, after losing Rohit Sharma early for just one run, found stability, thanks to Kohli and Shubman Gill. The duo stitched together a 116-run stand, helping India recover from the early setback.

Kohli was looking solid at the crease when an LBW appeal against him created a bit of drama. England, after some thinking between Buttler, Adil Rashid, and Phil Salt, decided to go for a review. The delivery from Rashid pitched around the leg stump and spun in sharply, hitting Kohli’s pad as he attempted to flick.

However, the third umpire ruled in Kohli’s favour, confirming that the ball had pitched outside leg, staying with the on-field umpire's decision. As the DRS replay confirmed Kohli's survival, Livingstone walked up to the Indian batter and pointed at him that he survived by small inches. Kohli responded by giving the Englishmen a friendly push.

Adil Rashid dismisses Virat Kohli for the fifth time in ODIs

Despite the lucky escape, the 36-year-old reached his 73rd ODI half-century. However, Rashid had the last laugh, dismissing Kohli for 52 off 55 balls with a flighted delivery that drifted in before turning away slightly, taking the outside edge of Kohli’s bat. Wicketkeeper, Salt completed the catch, and the Delhi-born, walked off before the umpire raised his finger. This was the fifth time Rashid had dismissed Kohli in ODIs. Meanwhile, Gill is still is on the crease and will be looking to make the most of the start he has got and partner with other batters to put up a big total on the board.
