Franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad recently managed to capture all the headlines after he seemingly dissed the popular IPL (Indian Premier League) Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), passing a cheeky comment about the franchise. It is worth noting that Gaikwad was present in Bengaluru during the INFYusion event hosted by Infosys.

The star player was handed a microphone and was asked to open the show. However, Gaikwad experienced an awkward moment as his mic stopped working. When the presenter addressed the situation, Gaikwad came up with a cheeky reply which caught everyone off guard.

"Must be an RCB fan,” Gaikwad replied while seemingly trolling RCB.

The clip of the same has been going viral all over social media. It is worth noting that RCB and CSK share a fierce rivalry in the IPL. Both sides have faced off several times in the tournament, and both teams have given the fans many memorable moments to cherish over the years.

Chennai Super Kings look to get their hands on sixth title

Speaking of the Chennai Super Kings, the franchise is the joint most successful IPL side. Alongside Mumbai Indians, CSK has won five IPL titles as well. The side was under the leadership of former India cricketer MS Dhoni for several years, where they enjoyed one of their most successful years. However, with the IPL 2024, it was announced that Ruturaj Gaikwad will be leading CSK, and the star batter will hope that he can do a good job leading the side.

In the IPL 2024, Chennai Super Kings failed to reach the knockout stages of the tournament. However, with the new season approaching, Gaikwad and CSK will hope for an improved season.
