WATCH: Mumbai Indians players share their memories of Sachin Tendulkar's most iconic moments on his 52nd birthday

April 24 is a day of celebration for Indian cricket fans as the legendary Sachin Tendulkar celebrates his birthday. The Indian batter is not only considered a legend when it comes to international cricket but also has been an iconic Mumbai Indians player, representing the franchise for six years before retiring from all forms of cricket.

The Master Blaster turned 52 on Thursday and the Mumbai Indians team commemorated it where the players were quizzed on some of the greatest moments of Sachin Tendulkar's career which included his debut in 1989, the moment he scored a double century in ODIs against South Africa in 2010 and the famous desert storm innings in Sharjah during the Coca Cola Cup in 1998. This was then followed by the Paltan wishing the legendary batter for what he has done for the team in the past.

The clip included MI players Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Ashwani Kumar, Vignesh Puthur, Robin Minz, Raj Bawa and Satyanarayan Raju. The coaching staff of the MI team was also involved in this reel including the likes of head coach Mahela Jayawardene, batting coach Kieron Pollard, bowling coach Lasith Malinga and fielding coach Carl Hopkins.

Mumbai Indians' season so far

Though it was a slow start for the franchise in the first five games, they seem to have finally found their mojo in the last few games. MI have won four games in a row and are currently fourth on the points table with five wins and four losses in the nine matches they have played.

Their upcoming game will be against the Lucknow Super Giants which will be played on Sunday, April 27 at the Wankhede Stadium. They will want to continue their fabulous winning streak in this upcoming fixture and they will also have a chance of redemption against the Super Giants who defeated them in the last game.
