During the ongoing third Test match between India and England in Rajkot, Ollie Pope's fearless stroke stole the limelight, leaving both fans and players awestruck. With a flick of his wrist, Pope executed a shot that not only was unusual but also drew comparisons to the former Sri Lankan batter Tillakaratne Dilshan. The veteran was known for playing some outrageous shots during his career, one of which was named after him the Dilscoop

On the second day of the Test match, England found themselves trailing by 445 runs against the dominant Indian side. Despite the pressure, Ollie Pope stood tall, displaying remarkable composure at the crease. It was during this crucial juncture that he decided to play an unconventional stroke.

In the 27th over, the ball was handed over to Ravindra Jadeja. In the fourth ball of his over, Pope, with incredible capabilities, executed a reverse scoop over the wicket-keeper's head. The ball soared over Dhruv Jurel's right shoulder, leaving him confused with his helmet still on, checking if the ball had brushed it.

Indian skipper, Rohit Sharma who was stationed at first slip, couldn't help but smile at the shot displayed by the English batter. The shot had a resemblance to the iconic Dilscoop, leaving fans in awe.

While Day 2 of the Test match was quite historic, with Ravichandran Ashwin claiming his 500th Test wicket. India ended their innings at 445 placing themselves in a comfortable position in the Test match. England batters also started well with Ben Duckett scoring a brilliant hundred. England is currently batting on 207 with the loss of two wickets and will hope to close down the gap of runs on Day 3.
