The meet-and-greet session with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and the grand reception at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai were merely the tip of the iceberg in setting the stage for the exuberance and jubilation that followed. The true celebration unfolded along the entire stretch of Marine Drive, where passionate Indian supporters, adorned in vibrant Indian jerseys, eagerly awaited the afternoon's open-top bus parade, which commenced around 4:30 pm from Nariman Point - a delayed start due to traffic and rain obstructing the team to be there for the majestic event on time.

It seemed as though the Queen's Necklace had lived up to its name, adorned with a twilight backdrop as the sun gracefully transitioned into another phase of its celestial journey. Despite the waning sunlight, there was no diminishing the spirit of the passionate Indian fans, who wholeheartedly engaged in chanting support and capturing countless moments with their array of electronic devices.

From an aerial perspective, the scene resembled a radiant spectacle, illuminating the stars of the day - the highly-celebrated Indian team.

The cricketers - Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and the rest - were visibly immersed in the enthusiasm of the occasion, deeply appreciating the overwhelming magnitude of the crowd gathered. Amidst the chaotic yet electrifying atmosphere, they savoured the serene moments, acknowledging the persistent and passionate chants of their names from the throngs.

Players waved to the multitude, reciprocating the intense outpouring of support and lifting the trophy, signifying that the victory was as much the fans' as it was theirs, recognizing that their unwavering backing had been instrumental in their collective success.

After the procession, the team proceeded to the iconic Wankhede Stadium, where festivities included lively celebrations, musical performances, and a victory lap. Interviews, including one with head coach, Rahul Dravid, added to the pomp and circumstance. The day culminated with a Herculean monetary bonus granted by the BCCI, marking the conclusion of an unforgettable day for those fortunate enough to witness it firsthand.
